The Government of Maldives (“GOM”) represented by the Ministry of Tourism (“MOT”) invites eligible investors, local or foreign to register their interest within 7 (seven) days by submitting a letter to invest in the Tourism Sector by incorporating a Joint Venture Company where the Government being a shareholder of the company.

 

Composition of the letter:

1. Letter of interest indicating:

Details of the individual or company or consortium including individual or company profile including Name, title address and telephone number.

1. Documents indicating the individual or company expertise in the Tourism Industry.
2. Documents indicating the recourses capacity to develop and operate a tourist resort.

 

Date of Closure for Receipt of Expression of Interest:

1. The Date of Closure for submission of EOI is 3^rd March 2014, at 1400 hrs

Evaluation Process

 

1. Upon receipt of the expression of interest, a preliminary evaluation based on the background and capacity of the parties will be conducted by the Ministry. If the government shall decide to proceed the development of tourist resort with the nominated EOI proponents,  the opportunity to submit proposals shall be issued.
